As a Data Engineer you take ownership of designing, implementing, and optimizing robust data solutions that power business-critical insights and applications. Beyond hands-on development of scalable pipelines and data workflows, you contribute to architectural decisions, ensure data quality and reliability, and drive automation across the data lifecycle. You collaborate closely with platform teams, architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into efficient, production-ready data systems.
- Assist in the design and architecture of data infrastructure across cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, Private/Hybrid Cloud), ensuring scalability, security, and cost-efficiency.
- Advise on best practices and implement CI/CD pipelines in data environments, and support engineering teams in building and maintaining these pipelines.
- Use data modelling techniques proper to the defined data architecture.
- Oversee, design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows.
- Implement data processing and transformation logic using programming languages such as Python ,Scala or Spark.
- Develop and maintain data storage solutions such as structured databases, data warehouses, and data lakes.
- Develop and implement data visualization and dashboarding solutions to enable stakeholders to easily access and interpret key data insights.
- Develop and maintain documentation for data infrastructure components and data pipelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data processing and storage.
- Continuously monitor and optimize data infrastructure performance to ensure data availability and reliability.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of working experience in data engineering, data analyst or related field.
- Prior experience as DBA or ML Ops engineer is considered a big plus.
- Strong programming skills in SQL, Python, Scala or R.
- Experience with data processing and transformation using tools such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
- Knowledge of Big Data technologies and principles like Databricks, ELK stack,…
- Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, data warehouses, and data lakes (streaming, batch, ingestion, processing, meta data).
- Experience with data pipeline tools such as Apache, Airflow, Confluence, Azure Data Factory,…
- Strong understanding of data modelling, data warehouse development and ETL design principles.
- Experience with Azure or AWS or GCP data infrastructure (Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, Databricks Detla Lake, AWS Glue, Kinesis, DMS, Dataflow, PubSub,…).
- Experience or knowledge with Docker or Kubernetes is considered a plus.
- Experience with PowerBI, DAX and Power Query functions is a plus.
- Work experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch or Scikit-learn.
- Work experience with Git hub, bit bucket or any source code repository tools.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills in French or Dutch and English.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
