IT Engineering Manager
You focus on leadership, delivery, quality, culture and continuous improvement. By providing clear direction, technical guidance and mentorship, you enable teams to work efficiently, maintain strong velocity and complete sprints in a predictable and sustainable way.
You don’t act as a hands-on developer, but ensure that development teams have the support, structure and standards needed to achieve technical excellence and reliable delivery. You will report directly to our CTO.
Engineering leadership and people management
You lead and coach Tech Leads, Back- and frontend developers, Infra & security and our IT Ops team. Supporting their growth, effectiveness and accountability. You are responsible for the overall performance, engagement and development throughout the teams. You ensure clear goals, regular & structured feedback, performance management and development plans are in place for all team members. You actively contribute to building a strong engineering culture focused on quality, ownership, collaboration and continuous learning. Act as the go-to person for technical challenges within the team.
Delivery and operational management
You oversee delivery across all development teams, ensuring predictable execution, maintain velocity and high quality outcomes. You align priorities and capacity across Verda platform development, Powerchain and IB Solutions. You ensure effective use of Agile and Scrum ways of working, and continuously improve team processes where needed. You monitor dependencies, risks and bottlenecks, and act proactively to resolve them.
Quality, security and reliability
You are accountable for software quality across teams, including QA processes, testing strategies and release cycles. You foster a strong quality culture and ensure QA is embedded structurally in development. You Enforce coding standards, perform code reviews, and promote best practices for clean and maintainable code. You work closely with security specialists to ensure scalable, resilient and secure platforms.
Stakeholder collaboration
You collaborate closely with product management, leadership and other stakeholders to align engineering efforts with business goals. You translate strategic objectives into clear execution plans for engineering teams. You communicate transparently about progress, challenges and trade-offs.

- Extensive experience leading software development teams, including mentoring and coaching senior engineers, tech leads and managers
- Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams across backend, frontend, QA, infra and security
- Strong experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies and operating in sprint based environments at scale
- Experience scaling engineering teams and organisations in growing SaaS environments
- Solid understanding of software architecture, system design and engineering best practices, including SOLID principles, to effectively guide and challenge teams
- Experience bringing complex software solutions to production in enterprise level
- Deep understanding of software development lifecycles, QA processes, testing strategies and release management
- Strong awareness of security by design principles and experience fostering a security minded engineering culture
- Experience working with modern cloud and engineering platforms such as Azure, Git, CI/CD pipelines and Jira
- Familiarity with containerisation and infrastructure concepts such as Kubernetes, Docker and GitOps based processes
- Understanding of scalable software concepts including APIs, messaging, load balancing, SQL and NoSQL technologies
- Strong problem solving skills and the ability to provide technical
- Strong people management/communication skills combined with operational discipline and ownership
